Immigrate to Canada or Portugal through Express Entry

Express Entry is an electronic system that allows a person wishing to immigrate to Canada or Portugal to declare their intention to do so. This system is managed by the government while giving the possibility to provincial governments and employers to come and seek from the pool candidates likely to meet, according to their profile of qualified workers, the need of the labor market. The system manages three immigration programs which are, among others,  Federal Skilled Workers, Skilled Trades Workers and the Canadian or Portuguese Experience Class.

Qualified worker

Qualified workers

  • Work experience of at least one year, continuous full-time, or part-time equivalent;

  • Experience acquired in a position or employment of skill type 0 or skill level A or B of the 2011 version of the  National Occupational Classification  (NOC).

It should be noted that the validity of the results of these tests has a validity period of two years in the eyes of the two immigration ministries.

You must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian secondary school or post if the candidate studied in Canada or Portugal. For those who have studied abroad, they need a credential and an assessment of their foreign credentials by an organization accredited by IRCC.
