The Study in Canada and Portugal Scholarships aim to increase the opportunities for Canadian post-secondary institutions to host international students from a large number of countries and territories on a short-term exchange to pursue studies or conduct research. A request for permanent residence can be established thereafter for students who intend to make Canada or Portugal their homes.
Selected Canadian and Portuguese post-secondary institutions will have the opportunity to strengthen and diversify their international ties and promote academic and research excellence in new markets.
The new relationships developed under the program will serve to fuel and enrich education engagements with a wide range of partners, strengthen bilateral relationships, and support the government's international trade diversification initiatives in both countries.
The Scholarships in Canada and Portugal is a Short-term Exchange Program under the Global Affairs International Scholarship Program. We will help you to make and obtain your permanent residence afterwards.
Scholarships in Canada and Portugal
The Scholarships in Canada and Portugal provide students from selected countries/territories in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa with short-term exchange opportunities to pursue study or research at post-secondary institutions.
Scholarships and educational exchange programs for Canada-Portugal development
The Canada-ASEAN and Portuguese ERASMUS Scholarships and Educational Exchange Programs for Development initiative allows students from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to participate in short-term study or research exchanges at Canadian post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate and graduate level.
Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program
The Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program provides students from Latin America and the Caribbean with short-term exchange opportunities to pursue studies or conduct research at post-secondary institutions.
