1 - Business, finance and administration

This category includes occupations involved in the provision of financial and business services, administrative services, and office supervision and support services. A few of the occupations included in this category are unique to the finance and business sector. However, most are found in all industrial sectors. 

Highly skilled occupations in this category, such as those of accountants, investment brokers, and human resources specialists, generally come from specialized study programs in the occupation or job. Some of the skilled administration and business occupations include experienced workers who have worked in related support positions.

11 - Professional staff in business management and finance

This major group includes professional occupations in business management and finance. It contains professionals in finance, auditing and accounting, as well as professionals in human resource management and business services.

12 - Staff supervising administrative and financial work and administrative staff

This major group includes administrative and financial work supervisors and administrative staff, who usually require a high school diploma, university degree, college diploma or specialized training in a related field, and several years of related work experience. It contains supervisors of administrative services; administrative and regulatory staff; office administrative assistants; and court reporters, transcriptionists, records management technicians and statistical officers.

13 - Personnel in finance, insurance and assimilated personnel in business administration

This major group includes occupations in finance, insurance and related occupations in business administration, which usually require a few years of post-secondary education, several years of related work experience and, in some cases, a license or a professional designation. It contains accounting technicians and bookkeepers; adjusters and claims writers; insurers; appraisers and appraisers; and customs brokers, ship brokers and other brokers.

14 - Office Support Staff

This major group includes office support workers, who usually require a high school diploma. It contains general office staff; office automation and desktop publishing clerks; finance, insurance and administrative support staff; and library, correspondence and other clerks.

15 - Distribution, tracking and scheduling coordination staff

This major group includes distribution, tracking and scheduling co-ordinating personnel, who usually require a full secondary education. It contains mail and message distribution staff and supply chain logistics, tracking and scheduling staff.
