The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchange for Development Initiative scholarships are facilitated through collaborative and student exchange agreements between Canadian post-secondary institutions and their partner institutions in ASEAN countries.
The Canada-ASEAN and Portuguese Scholarships and Educational Exchange Programs for Development is a short-term exchange program under the International Scholarships Program of Global Affairs Canada.
Eligibility
Eligible students must:
- ✔ be citizens of an ASEAN member country:
- Brunei Darussalam, Cambodge, Indonésie, Laos (République démocratique populaire lao (RPD Lao)), Malaisie, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapour, Thaïlande ou Vietnam
- ✔ be enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution in an ASEAN member country
- ✔ pay all required fees at the time of submitting the request and for the entire duration of the exchange
Students are not eligible for this scholarship if they:
- hold or are currently applying for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- are already participating in an exchange scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada or Portugal
- are already enrolled in a program of study at a Canadian or Portuguese post-secondary institution leading to a degree, diploma or certificate
- if they have already received a scholarship under the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchange Programs for Development initiative as well as the various Portuguese Scholarship programs
